hour by road from Nairobi, is Special Camping Safaris’ exclusive property
and perfect reatreat - Whistling Thorns. It is set in the bush, overlooks the
Ngong Hills and the plains south of Nairobi National Park that stretch across
into Tanzania. There is an abundance of plains game to be seen, including gazelle,
ostrich, giraffe and zebra.
We
offer accommodation in Guest Cottages (Usd 90 double B&B)
and Camping , we have space for staff parties and small conferences.
You
do not need to be a residing guest to experience our delicious food. Anyone can
dine in the restaurant, on the verandah or in the garden overlooking the Ngong
hills. Our kitchen serves breakfast and homecooked meals from 0800hrs - 2000hrs. For
guests who want complete relaxation, nothing could be less stressful than relaxing
by the pool and enjoying the spectacular view. For active guests you can swim,
go for walks, horse riding, pony rides and there's the golf driving range. The
view at Whistling Thorns is grand. The sunsets are glorious; and the early mornings
can be sheer magic. Transfers are available from the airport Usd 50 one way per
9 seater bus. Safaris can start and end at Whistling Thorns. |
